A vehicle stopped in the middle of KY 227 near Goose Creek road prompted someone to call in a tip to the police on Monday.

Dean A. Langston, 47, of Worthville, was found in the vehicle with the car running and emergency flashers on when police arrived on the scene, a Carroll County Sheriff's Office release said.

When Deputy Sheriff Daniel Rose responded to the scene, he found Langston asleep behind the wheel. Rose attempted to awake Langston for several minutes. When Langston finally awoke, he admitted to drinking and using hydrocodone, methamphetamine and marijuana. Langston failed all of the field sobriety tests, a release said.

Langston was taken to the Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

He was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was taken to the Carroll County Detention Center.
