Hank Bentz, director of marketing and communications at Ivy Tech Community College, was the keynote speaker at the annual Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) awards luncheon at Venture Out Business Center on Wednesday. "Even though you don't usually get the attention, the volunteers in this room are essential to the success of local service agencies," Bentz told the crowd of several hundred people. Vickie Copeland, program director at RSVP, said that in the last year, 115 RSVP volunteers worked a total of 13,436.25 hours for the community.
