Madison police made a drug arrest Sunday after receiving a shoplifting complaint from a gas station. Police responded to the 1200 block of Clifty Drive and found Justin D. Boley, 25, at the store.
Chief Dan Thurston said a customer at the station saw Boley put a magazine under his coat and try to leave the store when she made him return inside. Boley told police he was returning to his vehicle to get his wallet so he could pay for the magazine, Thurston said.
After searching Boley, police said they found a small foil package containing a substance that field-tested positive for heroin and marijuana. Officers also found a marijuana pipe in Boley's vehicle, Thurston said.
Boley was taken to the Jefferson County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, theft and possession of paraphernalia.
