Squirrel caused power outage
Monday, November 12, 2012 10:00 AM
A misstepping squirrel was the likely cause of a power outage Saturday for about 2,000 Duke Energy customers who lost electricity for a little over two hours.
Duke spokesman Randy Wheeless said that apparently a squirrel in a substation shorted out a circuit.
The electricity was off in downtown Madison.
