Rescue crews searched the Kentucky River for a pick-up truck that had gone into the water around 7:30 a.m. on Monday. Crews were able to locate the king-cab truck several yards from the riverbank and nearly 50 feet under the water around noon. The vehicle's owner, whose name was not released, told police and rescue crews that the truck had slipped out of gear after being parked near the confluence of the Kentucky and Ohio rivers at Point Park. No one was in the vehicle when it went into the water. (Staff photo by Renee Bruckfirstname.lastname@example.org)
