The Carroll County Sheriff's Office received a tip that led to multiple drug arrests.

Carroll County Sheriff Jamie Kinman and Deputy J.T. Shaw went to 2254 U.S. 42-W at approximately 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, two people ran out the back door of the residence. Emily C. Wolfenbarger and Ricky W. Clarkson were caught after a short foot pursuit, a news release said.

Wolfenbarger, 21, of Carrollton, was arrested for trafficking in a controlled substance on a warrant issued by Carroll Circuit Court. She was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after her purse was searched. She remains lodged in the Carroll County Detention Center.

Clarkson, 28, of Owenton, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wolfenbarger was one of the people sought in the most recent drug round-up conducted by the Sheriff's Department, Carrollton Police Department and Kentucky State Police in early November.

Another person targeted in that round-up, Harold B. Jones, 38, of Warsaw, turned himself into authorities Nov. 14 after he was indicted on two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance.
