Emergency crews found two children uninjured after the juveniles were reported missing Wednesday night.
A mother called Trimble County dispatch to report her two children - ages 10 and 11 - missing from their Milton home on Sportsman Lane, Milton Fire Chief Jason Long said. The mother told dispatchers the children had been missing for about four hours when she called emergency responders around 6:40 p.m.
Fire crews searched for about 20 minutes before finding both children near a creek. The two juveniles had been trying to find their way back to the road, Long said.
Milton Fire & Rescue was assisted at the scene by Bedford Fire & Rescue, Trimble County EMS, Trimble County Emergency Management and Kentucky State Police.
