Thursday, March 21, 2013 11:00 AM
While serving a warrant for domestic battery, police arrested the man on additional charges after allegedly finding drugs in his possession.
Police served a warrant in the 100 block of Taft Drive for Wesley L. Creech, 22, of Madison, for domestic battery and criminal confinement.
Upon going to the residence, officers discovered Creech trying to sneak out the back of the apartment, Chief Dan Thurston said in a release.
Officers searched Creech prior to arresting him and discovered a glass pipe with a white residue that later tested positive for methamphetamine, Thurston said.
Creech was arrested for the original warrant and on additional charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia. He was taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
