Woman gets 4 years for several crimes

Malinda Birge of Dupont was sentenced Monday to four years and seven months at the Indiana Department of Correction related to several crimes.
Birge pleaded guilty to a home burglary from June and was sentenced to two years for that Class C felony. She was also sentenced to two and one-half years for violating her probation on a previous case.
She received a total sentence of one month for two misdemeanor battery cases that came from fights while she was incarcerated at the Jefferson County Jail.
