LAST SPAN COMES DOWN
Thursday, September 19, 2013 7:00 AM
The last section of the old Madison-Milton Bridge was brought down this morning with explosives. The blast was moved up from its 9 a.m. schedule to about 8:30 a.m. because of poor weather conditions. The piers will now be reinforced and widened on the top before the new bridge superstructure is slid into place. (Staff photos by Ken Ritchieemail@example.com)
