ACCIDENT SENDS 2 TO HOSPITAL
Tuesday, July 09, 2013 11:00 AM
A single-vehicle accident in Milton, Ky., sent two people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries Monday.
Milton and Bedford fire units responded to the call of an accident in the 5700 block of U.S. 421-N around 11:47 a.m. On arrival, they found an overturned car resting against a tree, a Milton Fire and Rescue release said.
April Robbins of Milton was traveling north on U.S. 421 in her 1994 Volvo when she reached for an item in the back seat of the vehicle and crossed the center line, striking a ditch on the opposite side of the road. The vehicle went into the air, hit a utility pole and overturned three times before striking a tree.
All passengers were already out of the vehicle when fire units arrived at the scene, a release said.
