A Bedford woman had to be extricated from her car after striking a telephone pole Tuesday night.
Cheyenne Lovins was traveling south on U.S. 421 in a 2000 Ford Mustang when she entered a curve and lost control of her vehicle because of the wet roadway, Milton Fire Chief Jason Long said.
Lovins left the roadway and struck a telephone pole on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Milton and Bedford fire units responded to the scene of the accident at 10:25 p.m. and had to work several minutes to get Lovins out of the wrecked vehicle.
Lovins was transported to King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison by Trimble County EMS because of her injuries.
