Trimble County Schools Finance Officer Phillip Harmon administered the oath of office to Tony Walker on Monday. Walker was recently appointed to the Trimble County Board of Education by the Kentucky Department of Education. Walker, who owns T.W. Concrete in Bedford, has two children in Trimble County Schools district. He served on the Bedford Elementary School's School-Based Decision Making board prior to his appointment to the school board. He said he wants to see the district improve test scores and increase parent involvement in the schools. Walker replaces Joey Martin who chose not to run for re-election in November.
