Bennie Supplee

Bennie Joe Supplee, 93, of Carrollton, Ky., died Friday, April 14, 2017, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Ky.

He was born Nov. 27, 1923, to Howard M. and Lucy Mae Thompson Supplee. He spent most of his life doing farm-related work. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.

He is survived by one nephew and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Elizabeth Supplee McCreary; and one brother, Edward Supplee.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton, Ky.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Brian Vance

Brian Wayne Vance, 51, of Mooresville, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at work.

He was born March 24, 1966, in Madison, to Bill and Betty Jean Sallee Vance. He was a 1984 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School where he played basketball and football, sang and played music in a band. He attended Ball State University. He graduated from ITT Technical Institute with an associate degree in electrical engineering and later received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Indiana Wesleyan University. He worked at UPS from 1985 until 1987. In 1987, he began a 25-year career with PSI/Duke Energy. He began running a personal consulting business in 2012. In 2013, he started working for Ubisense where he was employed for three years. He worked in the utility fields for K & L Excavating starting in January 2017. He was a member of Gracepoint Church in Whiteland. He enjoyed golfing, playing music, skeet shooting and watching movies.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Buxton Vance, whom he married May 31, 1986; three children, Jacob W. Vance, Joel M. Vance and Alyson Lea Vance, all of Mooresville; his mother and stepfather, Betty Jean Vance-Welsh and Art Welsh of North Vernon; two sisters, Patricia Turner of Madison and Pam Lyle of Evansville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, Stephen Dale Vance.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. today at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Dupont Cemetery.
