Melvin Boldery

Melvin L. Boldery, 75, of Milton, Ky., died Saturday, April 27, 2013, at University Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

He was born May 26, 1937, in Trimble County, Ky., to Marvin and Blanche Richmond Boldery. He was an employee of the former Dalton-Walther Company. He was also a farmer. He enjoyed fishing, wood working and listening to music. He was a member of Milton Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Perkins Boldery; one daughter, Christy Robak of Madison; two stepsons, David Cull and Mike Cull, both of Milton, Ky.; two brothers, Kenneth Boldery of Milton, Ky., and Robert Boldery of Madison; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Boldery; three daughters, Terri Lynn Boldery, Rhonda Sue Boldery and Tina Cull; his parents; one sister, Martha Boldery; and one brother, Glenn Boldery.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Milton Baptist Church. Burial will be in Moffett Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the service.

Donna Jean Armand Archer Day, 72, of Madison, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Lloyd Jones

Lloyd Jones, 84, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Madison, died Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Signature Health Care East in Louisville, Ky.

He was born Jan. 25, 1929, in Trimble County, Ky., to Jack Edward and Nell Wright Jones. He resided early in life in Frankfort, Ky., attending school and helping his family on the farm. He worked for Marcus Furniture in Frankfort, Ky. and then for Bensinger's Furniture. He moved to Madison in July 1954 and soon opened the Farbrique Shop and Furniture Center in downtown Madison. He retired on Dec. 31, 1995, after 35 years in the fabric and carpet business. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in downtown Madison and was ordained a deacon on Sept. 21, 2003. He also read scriptures during the Sunday worship services. He was a meticulous man and took care with his appearance. He and his wife enjoyed decorating their homes with antiques. He also enjoyed working on his computer.

He is survived by three daughters, Penny Wilkins of Louisville, Ky., and Sharon Koontz and Cathy Marlette, both of Frankfort, Ky.; one sister, Sally Lee of Frankfort, Ky.; two brothers, Willett Lee of Sellersburg and Clella Lee Jr. of Frankfort, Ky.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth L. Carr Jones, whom he married July 7, 1956, and who died Feb. 17, 2008; his father, Jack Edward Jones; his mother, Nell Wright Jones Lee; and his stepfather, Clella Lee Sr.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the service.
