Lovella "Lucille" Maxwell, 90, of Osgood, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at The Waters of Clifty Falls.
She was born Nov. 25, 1922, Pulaski County, Ky., to Zeno and Clyda Floyd Sharp. She grew up in southern Kentucky where she learned to enjoy cooking and canning at an early age. She also enjoyed her family, farming, gardening and watching hummingbirds. She retired in 1979 from the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center where she worked as a dietitian. She was a member of the Osgood United Methodist Church and the Osgood-Versailles Chapter of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by six sons, Orville Dunagan of Madison, Hubert Dunagan of Whitehouse, Tenn., James Dunagan of Scipio, Farris Dunagan and Larry Dunagan, both of Osgood, and Kurt Dunagan of Benham; two daughters, Teresa Ingram of Columbia City and Angela Dunagan of North Vernon; two brothers, Ivan Sharp and James Sharp, both of Miamisburg, Ohio; 22 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Dunagan, whom she married Dec. 24, 1940, and who died Sept. 16, 1958; her husband, Harry Maxwell, whom she married in 1963, and who died March 1, 1997; her parents; and three brothers Roy Sharp, Ralph Sharp and Parker Sharp.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in at a later date in Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Ky.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Eastern Star will conduct a special service at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of South Central Indiana or the Osgood United Methodist Church. Contributions can be made through the funeral home.

Melissa D. "Missy" Powell, 48, of Hanover, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at her residence.
She was born May 21, 1964, in Madison, to Ronald Dale and Sandra Sue Roberts Powell. She resided all of her life in Jefferson County and was a 1982 graduate of Southwestern High School. She received an associate's degree in accounting from Ivy Tech. She worked early in life at the Hillside Inn and the Historic Broadway Hotel. She also served as manager at Granny's Place in Hanover and worked as a department manager for Walmart for 13 years. She was a member of the Kent United Methodist Church, the Cam Car Club and the Phi Beta Kappa Sorority.
She is survived by two sisters, Ronda Bowling of Madison and Teresa Jones of Brooksburg; her stepgreat-grandmother, Helen Kreeger of Madison; her caregiver, Tyree Jenkins of Hanover; four nephews; one great-niece; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, who died Oct. 18, 2004; her mother, who died March 28, 2011; her grandparents, Joe B. Roberts, who died Dec. 22, 2000, Norma Jean Kreeger Roberts, who died Dec. 17, 1999, and Frank and Inez Golden Powell; and her great-grandparents, Milton Kreeger and Beulah Corman Kreeger Muster.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be in Zoar Cemetery near Kent.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service.
