Mary Florence "Flo" Hicks Bibb, 76, of Madison, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at King's Daughters' Hospital.
She was born Jan. 9, 1937, in Warsaw, to Barney and Kate Hearne Hicks. She was raised and attended school in Owen County, Ky. She was a member of the Eagle Station Baptist Church and was baptized at the age of 13. She was employed as a waitress and manager for the Hilltop Fiesta Restaurant in Madison. She had previously worked for Ruby Fultz at the Fiesta Restaurant in downtown Madison and for Inglis Drug Store, Roger's Drug Store, the Park-N-Eat Restaurant and the Village Inn for several years. She enjoyed watching soap operas, puzzles and country music, especially J.D. Shelburne.
She is survived by two sons, David Bibb of Dallas, Texas, and Danny Wayne Bibb of Madison; one daughter, Roxanna Hunt of Madison; one brother, Linsie Hicks of Gallatin County, Ky.; four sisters, Daisy West of Carrollton, Ky., Janice Smith and Teresa Neel, both of Bedford, Ky., and Isabelle Fisher of Carrollton, Ky.; one half-brother, Frank A. Skinner of Carrollton, Ky.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bibb, whom she married Jan. 14, 1952, and who died Dec. 26, 1984; her father; her mother, Kate Hearne Hicks Garvey; her stepfather, David Garvey; one brother, Benjamin Kelly Hicks; and one grandson.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Dolores Jean Shope Ogden, 83, of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Trimble County, Ky., died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at St. Luke Hospital in Boise, Idaho.

Paul Vernon Roberts, 75, of Columbus, formerly of Vevay, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 10, 1937, in Vevay, to Raymond C. and Lela Griffith Roberts. He was raised in Vevay and was a 1956 graduate of Vevay High School. He retired in 1985 as an engine tester from Cummins Engine in Columbus after 35 years of service. He resided the past 57 years in Columbus. He enjoyed NASCAR and watching sports, especially the Colts.
He is survived by his wife, Georgine Marie Hall Roberts, whom he married Jan. 22, 1956; two sons, Paul Michael Roberts of Memphis, Tenn., and Raymond Lance Roberts of Peoria, Ill.; one daughter, Janet Christine Jones of Columbus; two sisters, Lois Blodgett of Lawrenceburg and Judy Kehrer of Georgetown; five grandchildren; and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial will be in Brooksburg Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Albert N. Thom, 94, of Battle Creek, Mich., formerly of Madison, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at The Oaks at NorthPointe Woods in Battle Creek, Mich.
