Cynthia Garrison

Cynthia Kimberly McCormick Garrison, 51, of Owensboro, Ky., died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013.

She was born Feb. 15, 1962, in Daviess County, Ky., to Jim and Bonnita "Bonnie" Williams McCormick. She enjoyed animals, horseback riding, camping, fishing, NASCAR, gardening and cooking. Her father was a former Miss Madison driver.

She is survived by her husband, David Garrison; one son, James McCormick; her mother; and one brother, Michael McCormick.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A graveside service and burial were Wednesday in Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery in Philpot, Ky.

Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home in Owensboro, Ky. was in charge of arrangements.

Robert Lyons

Robert M. Lyons, 70, of Madison, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

Bonnie Maines

Bonnie Maines, 47, of Milton, Ky., died Tuesday, Dec. 17 2013, at Green Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton, Ky.

She was born Aug. 28, 1966, in Carrollton, Ky., to Howard and Beryl Young Maines. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by daughters, Jacki Nanny, Stacey Aldridge, Chasity Maines and Kelly Maines; her father; her mother, Beryl Young; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in Ghent Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Charles Vogel

Charles H. Vogel, 77, of Four Corners, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 13, 1936, in Four Corners, to Sylvester and Irene Elsner Vogel. He was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Four Corners, Knights of Columbus Council 10422 and National Farmers Organization. He previously served as Spencer Township Trustee. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Wilkinson Vogel, whom he married Oct. 25, 1958; two sons, Michael Vogel of Henryville, Scott Vogel of North Vernon; two daughters, Melissa Skirvin of Vevay and Barbara Walker of Indianapolis; six brothers, Tom Vogel of Hayden, Leonard Vogel of Madison, Paul Vogel of Hayden, Bob Vogel of Commiskey, David Carr of Sellersburg and Henry Carr of Hayden; eight sisters, Anna Mae Raver of Oldenburg, Kathlene Baurley of North Vernon, Elizabeth Bridges of Hayden, Jeanette Heckman of Holland, Mich., Marie Laymon of Kent, Maria Tempest of Sellersburg, Joyce Vogel of Hayden and Colleen Gerth of Seymour; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Chris Vogel and Greg Vogel.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Four Corners. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service in North Vernon Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. The rosary will be said Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
