Joanne Lee, 79, of Madison, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at King's Daughters' Hospital.
Funeral arrangements and additional information are pending at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.
Evelyn Ann "Evie" O'Nan, 69, of Madison, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
She was born Nov. 19, 1942, in Trimble County, Ky., the daughter of Hayden Webster and Doris Evelyn Leach Dunlap. She was a graduate of Madison High School. She formerly worked for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. and Belterra Casino Resort in Florence. She also was a former manager with Rite-Aid in downtown Madison. She enjoyed gardening, antiques and reading. She also enjoyed decorating her home and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Traci Scroggins of Greensboro, N.C. and Tanya O'Nan of Madison; two brothers, Donald Dunlap of Madison and Billy Joe Dunlap of Maryville, Tenn.; one sister, Emily Grimes of Madison; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lytle Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the service.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Heart Association. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.

Bessie Louise Vance Gaines Sands, 89, of Bedford, Ky., died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at King's Daughters' Hospital.
She was born Oct. 19, 1922, in Owen County, Ky., the daughter of James and Lucy Florence Glore Vance. She resided in Owen County, Ky. and was a 1940 graduate of Bethany High School. She resided in the Brooksburg Community from 1955 to 1961 and then moved back to Trimble County, Ky. She was employed with Charlestown Ammunition Plant and then the Madison State Hospital for several years. She worked for 20 years with the U.S. Shoe Corporation in Vevay and Madison in the repair department. She was a member of the Milton Baptist Church for many years and for the past 38 years she was a member of the Scottsburg Nazarene Church where she had taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Jefferson County Civil Defense and the Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary. She was a Kentucky Colonel and was a member of the Dorcas Circle of King's Daughters'.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert L. Sands, whom she married Dec. 2, 1973; one daughter, Shirley E. Brierly of Milton, Ky.; one son, John C. Gaines of Milton, Ky.; three stepsons, Paul Sands of Scottsburg, Steve Sands of New Albany and Roger Sands of Scottsburg; one sister, Glenna Haun of Orange City, Fla.; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Gaines, whom she married in 1940, and who died Oct. 20, 1970; two sons, R.C. Gaines and James Barrett Gaines; her parents; and one grandson.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be in Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Ky.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the service.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Research or Scottsburg Nazarene Church. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.

Evelyn Marie "Tricky" Welch, 57, of Carrollton, Ky., died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at her residence.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. today at the Family Worship Center in Carrollton, Ky. Cremation was chosen.
Friends may call at the church from 5 p.m. until the service.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Friends of Butler or the Carroll County Historical Society. Contributions can be made through Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky., which is in charge of arrangements.
