Dayna Craig

Dayna Lynne Craig, 50, of Madison, formerly of Trimble County, Ky., died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

She was born Oct. 3, 1962, in Madison, the daughter of David Lamar and Betty Moreillon Craig. She graduated from Trimble County High School in 1981 and worked at the U.S. Shoe Factory in Madison. After the factory closed, she worked as a certified nursing assistant at The Waters of Clifty Falls. She liked to crochet, play the piano, watch University of Kentucky basketball and spend time with her nieces and nephew.

She is survived by her father, of Lake Okeechobee, Fla.; her mother of Bedford, Ky.; one brother, Danny Craig of Bedford, Ky.; three sisters, Dee Dee Craig, Cheryl Adair and Cherona Craig, of Bedford, Ky.; one half-sister, Debbie Baker of LaGrange, Ky.; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, Ky. Burial will be in Bedford Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service.

James McNeal

James Roberts McNeal, 86, of Carrollton, Ky., died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at his residence.

He was born March 2, 1926, in Wheatley, Ky., the son of Siebert J. and Irene Roberts McNeal. He was a graduate of the Carroll County High School and the University of Kentucky, earning an electrical engineering degree. He served in the Marine Corps. He was an owner of McNeal's Hardware and Appliance Store in Carrollton, Ky. He was a member of the Carrollton Rotary Club and the First Baptist Church of Carrollton, where he had served as a deacon. He had served on the First National Bank Board of directors and the Carrollton City Council.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Jones McNeal; one daughter, Nancy Elam of Georgetown, Ky.; two sons, Greg McNeal of Corunna and Brad McNeal of Carrollton, Ky.; one sister, Katherine Thompson of Wheatley, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Carrollton, Ky.

Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. until the service.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the First Baptist Church of Carrollton, Ky. Contributions can be made through Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky., which is in charge of arrangements.
