Pamela Jane Wagner Courter, 64, of Rising Sun, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Regency Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Reta Sullivan

Reta "Rita" Farrell Sullivan, 88, of Madison, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at King's Daughters' Hospital.

She was born Oct. 19, 1924, in Pleasant, the daughter of Alfred and Helen Steele Farrell. She was raised and resided in Switzerland County until 1960. She was employed early in life as a waitress for the Fiesta Restaurant. She later worked for 20 years at the Conn Organ Company as a forelady for the assembly line. She then worked for 14 years as the hostess at Scrub Board Laundry. She was a member of West Street Ministries. She enjoyed crocheting and raising African violets. She was an Indiana University fan.

She is survived by two daughters, Wilma Sullivan of Madison and Mary K. Owens of Lexington; two sons, Robert "Bob" Sullivan of Beech Grove and Ernie Sullivan of Madison; one half-sister, Mary Beach of Aurora; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Leland "Lee" Sullivan, whom she married July 5, 1946, and who died Jan. 27, 2012; her parents; one brother, Clyde Bernard Farrell; two sisters, Pauline Juanita Brandon and Anna Marie Sedam Marsh; and one niece.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until the service.

Dana Wood

Dana H. Wood, 89, of Kettering, Ohio, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.

She was born Oct. 3, 1923, the daughter of Frank Matthew and Margaret Vail Booth.

She is survived by two daughters, Andrea Handley of Evanston, Ill., and Vail McGuire of Dayton, Ohio; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Alvah S. Hutson, who died in 1974; her husband of 28 years, James A. Wood, who died in 2010; and her parents.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Dayton Ohio. Burial will be private Monday at Fairmount Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Westminster Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Dayton. Contributions cards are available at Vail-Holt Funeral and Cremation Service, which is in charge of local arrangements.
