Donnetta I. Westrick Alexander, 83, of Louisville, Ky., died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Rockford Manor Nursing Home in Louisville, Ky.
She was born May 20, 1930, in Milton, Ky., to Tony and Virgie Westrick.
She is survived by her husband, Richard D. Alexander; one daughter, Judith Alexander of Louisville, Ky.; one brother, S.G. Westrick of Milton, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Nadine Barnes, Velma "Shorty" Taylor, Mary Helen Robertson and Novella Westrick; and five brothers, Logan Westrick, Hubert Westrick, Virgil Westrick and two infants.
The funeral will be at noon Friday at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel. Burial will be in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at Joseph E. Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home in Louisville, Ky. today from 4 to 7 p .m. and at the cemetery Friday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Nellie Mae Troxell Burford, 95, of Worthville, Ky., died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Green Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton, Ky.
She was born May 16, 1918, in Midway, Ky., to Garrott and Elvira Woolams Troxell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Monterey Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, flowers, coloring books and dogs. She also enjoyed going to church and playing bingo.
She is survived by two daughters, Mildred Sandlin and Adele Burford, both of Worthville, Ky.; one son, Jerry Burford of Worthville, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Burford; her parents; two sisters, Christine Upvack and Lizzy Vickers; and four brothers, John Troxell, Thomas Troxell, James Troxell and Clay Troxell.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in Owenton Cemetery in Owenton, Ky.

Virginia M. Lawrence Kessler, 87, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Madison, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, Hospice House in Port Charlotte, Fla.
She was born July 24, 1926, in Oldham County, Ky., to Nicholas and Gladys Waller Lawrence. She was raised in Bellview and graduated from North Madison High School. She worked in various administrative positions in Madison and Brown County, and with the City of Columbus Indiana Police Department and the Madison Police Department. She resided in Columbus for more than 20 years and returned to Madison for retirement in the 1990s. She was a 50-plus year member of the Order of Eastern Star and an active member of the Christ Episcopal Church. She enjoyed gardening and volunteering.
She is survived by one daughter, Nichola "Nicki" Hall of Port Charlotte, Fla.; two brothers, Richard Lawrence of Kent and Gerald Ray Lawrence of Madison; one granddaughter; one grandson; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Kessler, whom she married June 6, 1958, and who died Aug. 5, 2005; her parents; and three brothers, John T. Lawrence, Roy G. Lawrence and Gene Lawrence.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until the service.
