Thomas Dale Case, 56, of Deputy, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at his residence.

He was born March 10, 1957, in Scottsburg, to William and Bessie Clements Case. He attended Madison Consolidated Schools. He worked for Selmier State Forestry for 21 years. He previously worked at White Eye Valley Farms in Lexington and Walp Logging in Deputy. He was a member of U.S.A. Bassin and a former member of the Jaycees in Scottsburg. He enjoyed fishing, basketball, hunting and playing horseshoes.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Smith Case, whom he married Dec. 4, 1976; two daughters, Brandy Case of Canaan and Samantha Case of Deputy; one brother, Donald Case of Deputy; three sisters, Sondra Walp and Betty Williams, both of Deputy, and Sharon Willis of Greenwood; and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Larry Case, Duane Case and Joe Case.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Burial will be in Carmel Cemetery in Deputy.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of King's Daughters' Hospital.
