Ronald Edward Allen, 69, of Carrollton Ky., died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at his residence.
He was born June 10, 1944, to Calvin and Hazel Faye Allen. He served in the Army. He retired from the Kentucky Highway Department and later worked as a truck driver. He was a member of the American Ligeon.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Allen; two step children, Shane Kelly and Jason Kelly; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his former wife of 24 years, Doris Banks Allen; and his parents.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. is in charge of arrangements.

Clifford Simmons, 85, of Milton, Ky., died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at King's Daughters' Hospital.
He was born Oct. 17, 1927, in Milton, Ky., to Ora Everett and Martha Spillman Simmons. He was a medic in the Army during World War II. He was a farmer and served as the the bookkeeper for the Golden Burley Tobacco Warehouse in Carrollton, Ky. for more than 45 years. He also served on the West Carroll Water District Board of Directors. He was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jane Gossom Simmons; one daughter, Connie Webster of Carrollton, Ky.; one son, Steve Simmons of Bedford, Ky.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lucille Bond and Lena Mitchell; and one grandson.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton, Ky.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Association. Contributions can be made through the funeral home.

Martha Spenneberg, 73, of Carrollton, Ky., died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Funeral arrangements and additional information are pending at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky.
