Donald R. "Don" Mougey, 68, of Carrollton, Ky., died Monday, June 10, 2013, at the University of Cincinnati Hospital.
He was born Aug. 1, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio, to Hubert Donald and Erma Lehman Mougey. He grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and attended Chaminade High School. He received a degree in engineering from the University of Dayton and also received a degree from Cardinal Stritch College of Business. He worked as the director of logistics at Solvay Animal Health in Charles City, Iowa, and worked as a manager of purchasing in Madison, Wis. He moved to Carrollton, Ky., where he worked as a purchasing supervisor for North American Stainless until his retirement in 2009. He owned and operated the Highland House Bed and Breakfast for the past 17 years. He was Roman Catholic. He was a former president and treasurer of the Main Street program, served as chairman of design review board, and board member and treasurer of Carroll County tourism. He loved photography, gardening, working on projects for the city of Carrollton, and Ohio State football.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ruth Mougey; one daughter, Brooke Mougey of Charles City, Iowa; two sons, Randy Mougey of Charles City, Iowa, and Paul Mougey of Mason City, Iowa; two sisters, Kathy Kropff of Dayton, Ohio, and Susan Dearth of Atlanta, Mich.; two brothers, Pete Mougey and Dan Mougey, both of Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Raymond and Marie Mougey and Henry and Viola Lehman; and one grandson.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at the Highland House Bed and Breakfast, 1705 Highland Ave., Carrollton, Ky.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the charity of the donor's choice. Contribution cards are available at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Jo Ella Snell
Jo Ella Jones Snell, 77, of Madison, died June 13, 2013, at her residence.
She was born May 15, 1936, in Trimble County, Ky., to Willard P. and Nannie Lula Parker. She spent her early life in Trimble County and attended school there. She lived in Madison for 67 years. She retired from Grote Industries after 28 years as an assembly line operator. She was member of the Milton Christian Church, the former Madison Eagles Lodge and Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion. She enjoyed traveling and caring for her home and flowers. She enjoyed the Cincinnati Reds and was an avid Indiana University basketball fan.
She is survived by one son, Roger Dale Snell of Hanover; two daughters, Rose Ella Everhart of Scottsburg and Jackie Davis of Madison; one sister, Majorie Liter of Milton, Ky., one brother, Preston Jones of Panama City, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Marvin Snell Jr., whom she married Oct. 11, 1951, and who died July 21, 2006; two sons, Jimmy Joe Snell, who died March 7, 1988, and Marvin Eugene Snell, who died Oct. 9, 2003; her parents; five brothers, Claudie Jones, Junior Roy Jones, William Jones, Marvin Jones and Rueben B. Jones; and two sisters, Jo Ann Creech and Angie Webster.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
