Garry Caudle

Garry Wayne Caudle, 63, of Madison, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Clark County Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.

He was born Oct. 8, 1950, in Louisville, Ky., to Ruby and Christine Lucas Caudle. He was raised and attended school in Louisville. He moved to Madison 44 years ago and worked in the furniture business all of his life for Young's Furniture, Broadway House and Unclaimed Freight. He was a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara L. Burton Caudle, whom he married Oct. 23, 1976; three sons, Timothy "Tim" Caudle of Hanover, Christopher "Chris" Caudle of Madison, and Mark Caudle of Seymour; two sisters, Rita Williams of Louisville, Ky. and Tracy Franklin of Bedford, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Hazel Larue; and two nieces.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be in Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Ky.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Bonnie Lock

Bonnie Jean Purnell Lock, 71, of Vevay, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at King's Daughters' Hospital.

She was born Nov. 6, 1942, in Madison, to Stanley E. Purnell and Charlotte Irene Coy Walker. She was raised in Vevay. She was employed in the scheduling department at the U.S. Shoe Factory in Vevay for 39 years before retiring. She retired as a porter from Belterra Casino Resort & Spa in 2012 after 12 years of service. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch, collecting Barbies, angels and cherubs.

She is survived by her husband, John Harvey Lock Jr., whom she married March 20, 1959; three sons, Richard Lock of Rising Sun, Jeff Otter of Vevay and Mike Otter of Independence, Ky.; her mother of Vevay; two brothers, Gary Purnell of Vevay and Galen Purnell of Moorefield; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Danny Lock, who died March 15, 1998; her father; one brother, Charles L. Purnell, who died Aug. 3, 2001; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial will be in Vevay Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.

John Loos Sr.

John Ronald "Ronnie" Loos Sr., 69, of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Madison, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at his daughter's residence.

Mary Ellen McClellan

Mary Ellen McClellan, 95, of Vevay, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Ky.

She was born Oct. 8, 1918, on Drakes Ridge in Bennington, to George T. Cole and Lona Brindley Pullium. She was raised in Switzerland County, and attended the one-room school house in Bennington. She was a former stitcher for the U.S. Shoe Factory, retiring in 1983, after 30 years of service. She and her second husband co-owned and co-operated Sinclair Filling Station in Vevay for several years. She was also employed at the Vevay Swiss Inn for several years. She was a member of the Vevay Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post 5396, the Vevay Post 185 of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the New Life Fellowship Church in Vevay. She was a treasurer for the Vevay Senior Citizens Center for several years and was active in helping to get funds to build the Jack Sullivan Senior Citizen Center in Vevay

She is survived by three sons, Donald McKenzie of Tuttle, Okla., and Ernest R. McKenzie and Robert "Hardly" McKenzie, both of Vevay; three daughters, Lona Mathews of Seminole, Fla., and Betty Scott and Loretta Hayes, both of Vevay; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Elmer White, whom she married Nov. 23, 1933, and who died April 13, 1939; her second husband, Leslie L. McKenzie, whom she married in 1940, and who died March 27, 1964; four sons, David "Buck" White, who died Nov. 13, 2003, Richard "Rick" McKenzie, who died Aug. 1, 2010, Lewis Edward McKenzie, who died Oct. 1, 1989, and Elmer Lloyd "Dumpy" White, who died Feb. 23, 2014; her parents; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial will be in Vevay Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from noon until the service.

Vicki Moore

Vicki Lynn Moore, 55, of Madison, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born June 17, 1958, in Madison, to James and Leola Fox Fisher. She was a 1977 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. She retired in November 2013 after many years of service at Royer Corporation. She enjoyed reading, spending time outdoors, riding motorcycles, art, music and movies.

She is survived by two sons, Tyler Moore of Indianapolis, and Aaron J. Moore of Chesapeake, Va.; one daughter, Leanna F. Moore of Madison; three sisters, Sandi, Darlena and Donna; one brother, Jim; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private services will be held at a later date.
