Elaine Downey

Elaine Downey, 65, of Turners Station, Ky., died Monday, March 11, 2013, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 3, 1948, in Shelby County, Ky., the daughter of Robert Sr. and Mary Catherine Brown Jones. She worked as a cook at many area restaurants. She was last employed at Doll's. She enjoyed cooking and baking pies. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, farming with her husband, and gardening. She was a member of English Christian Church since 1998.

She is survived by one son, Paul Keith Downey of Turners Station, Ky.; one daughter, Regina Michelle Miskell of Turners Station, Ky.; two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Jones Jr. of Drennon, Ky. and Donald Ray Jones of Carrollton, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Thomas Downey, who died in 2001; one daughter, Marilynn Denise Downey Moore; and her parents.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Home in Campbellsburg, Ky. Burial will be in Port Royal Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service.

Paul Dudding

Bishop Paul L. Dudding, 53, of Scottsburg, died Monday, March 11, 2013, at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg.

He was born Oct. 19, 1959, in Akron, Ohio, the son of Paul L. Sr. and Maggie Downey Dudding. He served as a pastor for the Church of God of Prophecy since 1981, pastoring the Scottsburg congregation for the last six years. He also worked as an office assistant at Craig Toyota Body Shop in Madison and formerly worked as a jailer at the Scott County Sheriff's Department in Scottsburg.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Pentecost Dudding, whom he married Nov. 24, 1979; two sons, Paul Duane Dudding and Brent Dudding, both of Scottsburg; two sisters, Pearl Snyder of Green, Ohio and Sharon Miller of Springfield, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg. Burial will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until the service.

Ronald Gilbert

Ronald Lee Gilbert, 63, of Deputy, died Monday, March 11, 2013.

He was born Aug. 24, 1949, in Jennings County, the son of Jeffie and Mattie Rosa Gabbard Gilbert. He graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1967. He was a retired electrician for the Madison State Hospital. He was also a former employee of Morgan Foods and Arbuckle Electric. He was a member of New Frankfort Pentecostal Church near Austin.

He is survived by one son, Joe Gilbert of Chesterton; three brothers, Robert Dale Gilbert of Conyers, Ga., Larry Wayne Gilbert of Lexington and Jeffery Ray Gilbert of Dupont; three sisters, Randa Jean Green of Dupont, Phyllis Diane Henry of Dallas, Texas and Jolene Herald of Silver Springs, Fla.; and one granddaughter.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at New Frankfort Pentecostal Church. Burial will be in Dupont Cemetery.

Amy Lynn Johnson Perkins, 32, of Sanders, Ky., died Sunday, March 10, 2013, in a car wreck near Pendleton, Ky.

She was born Sept. 9, 1980, in Madison, the daughter of Glenn Allen and Vickie Sue Welch. She was a cook and server at Waffle House in Carrollton, Ky. She was a member of the Family Worship Center in Carrollton, Ky.

She is survived by her husband, Jason Perkins of Owenton, Ky.; four sons, Exavier Perkins, Justice Perkins, Elijah Perkins and Trenton Perkins, all of Fairfield, Ohio; her mother and step father, Vickie Sue and Mark Lewis of Sanders, Ky.; her father and step mother, Glenn Allen and Vicky M. Johnson of Sparta, Ky.; two brothers, Jeffrey Welch and Ricky Welch, both of Carrollton, Ky.; one step sister, Angel Wente of Seymour; three step brothers, Joshua Lewis and Bradley Lewis, both of Sanders, Ky., and Allen Johnson of Sparta, Ky.; and her maternal grandmother, Flora Gibson of Carrollton, Ky.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Dewayne Johnson; one half brother, Glenn A. Johnson Jr.; her maternal grandfather, Clifford Welch; her maternal step grandfather, Alton Gibson; and her paternal grandparents, Cannan and Eula Johnson.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in Dallasburg Masonic Cemetery in Wheatley, Ky.
