Timothy Lee "Tim" Huff, 49, of Deputy, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at his residence.
He was born June 13, 1963, in Seymour, to Jasper Jr. and Norma Lou Ray Huff. He was raised in Deputy and resided there all of his life. He was a 1981 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. He was a certified arborist through Purdue University. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Graham. He was employed as a supervisor with Townsend Tree Service for 15 years. He then co-owned and operated the H & L Tree Trimming Service. He was united in marriage Nov. 16, 1985, to Nancy Creech. He worked for the past 10 years for the Jackson County REMC in Brownstown as the right of way supervisor. He was a member of the Solid Rock Community Church near Deputy. He enjoyed Indiana University basketball, raising cattle, his farm, tractor pulls, building garden tractors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was awaiting the birth of his fifth grandchild.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Creech Huff, of Deputy; two sons, Timothy Jason "T.J." Huff and Justin Lee Huff, both of Deputy; one daughter, Norma Nichole "Nickie" Huff of Deputy; his mother of Deputy; three sisters, Barbara Warren of Deputy, Teresa Shuler of Austin and Brenda Cardinal of Deputy; one brother, Danny Dale Huff of Bernie; one uncle; one aunt; four grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, who died May 19, 1998; one brother, Mark R. Huff, who died Dec. 20, 2008; and his grandparents, Jasper Sr. and Hattie Huff, and Homer P. and Estella N. Ray.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be in Lick Branch Cemetery near Deputy.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 3 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service.

Mary Ann Emge Simon, 64, of Fairview, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at Swiss Villa Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Vevay.
She was born Jan. 31, 1949, in Lafayette, to Leo and Rose Klinker Emge. She was raised in Lafayette, where she was a 1967 graduate of Lafayette Central Catholic High School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in 1971 from Purdue University in West Lafayette. She had resided near Fairview since 1981. She was a former English teacher at Switzerland County Middle School in Vevay, South Ripley Middle School in Versailles and at Jac-Cen-Del Middle School in Osgood. She was also a substitute teacher for 20 years. She was a member of the Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church in Vevay, and a former member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Osgood and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora. She was also a member of the East Enterprise Homemaker's Club and the Eggleston Club of Vevay. She was a former Girl Scout leader at the Switzerland County Elementary School in Vevay for five years. She taught religion education at the St. John's Catholic Church in Osgood and at the Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church in Vevay. She enjoyed reading, sewing, music and visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Charles Simon, whom she married Aug. 10, 1974; two daughters, Elizabeth Newman of Columbus and Gina Marie Orlando of Frederick, Md.; one son, Eric Simon of Fairview; two sisters, Rose Marie Dolick of Reynolds and Katie Emge of Delphi; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Joseph Emge and James Gregory Emge.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church in Osgood. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Osgood.
Friends may call at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. The rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Diabetes Association or the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
