Norman Leroy Arbuckle, 87, of Lexington, died Sunday, March 19, 2017, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital.

Ruby Frances Redding Blackburn, 89, of Greenwood, formerly of Vevay, died Friday, March 17, 2017, at Greenwood Meadows in Greenwood.
She was born March 13, 1928, in Paris, Ky., to Thomas Redding and Katie Lee Sanders. She was raised and attended school in Paris, Ky. and Lexington, Ky. She was a milliner for Hansley Mills in Lexington, Ky. for several years. She moved to Craig Township in Switzerland County in 1966 and was employed with the U.S. Shoe Factory in Vevay for 30 years. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church. She resided the past nine years in Greenwood. She enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking, sewing and church.
She is survived by one son, Larry Allen Blackburn of Greenwood; one brother, John Riley Watkins Jr. of Florida; one sister, Billie Marking of Florida; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Lee “Red” Blackburn, whom she married Jan. 5, 1947, and who died Aug. 23, 2002; one son, Windel Lee Blackburn, who died April 23, 1979; one daughter, Cindy Ann Blackburn, who died March 3, 2009; her father, who died Aug. 9, 1935; her mother, Katie Lee Sanders Watkins, who died Aug. 8, 2002; her stepfather, John “Johnny” Riley Watkins, who died Oct. 29, 1993; two brothers, Thomas Redding and Earl Clark Watkins; four sisters, Anna Kathryn Redding, Jean Garland, Ruth Garland and Judy Johnson; one grandson; and one granddaughter.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Spring Branch Baptist Church. Contributions can be made through the funeral home.

Paul Manns Sr.
Paul Manns Sr., 66, of Hanover, died Saturday, March 18, 2017, at his residence.
Funeral arrangements and additional information are pending at Grayson Funeral Home in Hanover.
Ralph Thomas, 75, of Lexington, died Sunday, March 19, 2017, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 23, 1941, in Dizney, Ky., to Olin and Irene Cox Thomas. Ralph was a machine operator and die setter for General Electric Appliance Park in Louisville, Ky., retiring in 1997 after 32 1/2 years of service. He also worked as a maintenance man at St. James Community in Scottsburg for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Smith Thomas, whom he married Dec. 19, 1960; two sons, Dwayne Ralph Thomas of Scottsburg and Darren Thomas of Austin; two daughters, Glenda Nichols and Helen Miskell, both of Lexington; one brother, Ronald Thomas of Lexington; three sisters, Carol Huttsell of Scottsburg, and Eula Hoard and Betty Sue Gibson, both of Lexington; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Mildred F. “Mickey” Vandegrift.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the service.
