Katelyn Bruner

Katelyn Nicole Bruner, 17, of Madison, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, in Madison.

She was born Aug. 30, 1995, in Madison, the daughter of John M. and LeAnn K. Knox Bruner. She was a junior at Madison Consolidated High School and was also in vocational training studying medical administration. She was planning to tour Indiana University soon in preparation for college. She was baptized in the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing soccer, basketball and volleyball. She also enjoyed four wheeling, boating, listening to music, spending time with her friends and cooking.

She is survived by her father of Madison; her mother of Madison; one sister, Hannah Brittany Bruner of Madison; her maternal grandparents, Mark and Nadja Keach of Madison; and her maternal great-grandmothers, Doris Hubbs and Theola Knox, both of Madison.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Parker Knox; her paternal grandparents, Merle and Margaret Bruner; her maternal great-grandfather, Harry Hubbs; and four uncles.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be in Saint Patrick Cemetery.

Elizabeth Pierce

Elizabeth Louise Bonham Pierce, 91, of Bedford, Ky., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Signature Healthcare in Bedford, Ky.

She was born Aug. 1, 1921, in Pendleton, Ky., the daughter of William Sanford and Margaret Varble Bonham. She retired after 30 years of service as a cook with the Trimble County School District. She enjoyed reading and being with her family on the family farm. She was a member of Sulphur Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Sanford "Pud" Pierce of Bedford, Ky.; one bother, Billy Bonham of Florence, Ky.; one sister, Ruth Miller of Aurora; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William Allen Pierce; and her parents.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, Ky. Burial will be in Bedford Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until the service.
