Wayne Bennett, 73, of Florence, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at his residence.
He was born May 20, 1939, in Switzerland County, the son of Stanley L. and Stella Romans Bennett. He was raised in Switzerland County and attended Vevay High School. He was employed at the Carpenters Union Local 1142 in Lawrenceburg, retiring after 30 years of service. He also worked at Aurora Casket Co. for three years. He was a former foreman at Randall Textron Inc. in Vevay. He lived all of his life in Switzerland County. He was a member of the Switzerland County Tractor Club and the National Antique Tractor Pullers Association. He enjoyed horse pulling, antique tractor pulling and rabbit hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Donna Sue Aylor Bennett, whom he married Nov. 27, 1965; two daughters, Laura Sullivan of East Enterprise and Stacey Harsh of Akron; his mother; one brother, Gordon Bennett of Rising Sun; one sister, Janet "Peachy" Kent of Indianapolis; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, who died Oct. 5, 1997; and one sister, Betty Jo Lauderbaugh, who died Aug. 23, 1994.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial will be in Vevay Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to a charity of the donor's choice. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.

Bradley Bruner, 51, of Madison, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at his residence.

Daisy E. Young Hughes, 63, Carrollton, Ky., died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
She was born Dec. 19, 1948, in Carrollton, Ky., the daughter of Charles William and Rita Mary Piggott Young. She was a 1967 graduate of Carroll County High School and a 1982 graduate of the School of Hair Design in Florence, Ky. She was a retired hairdresser and owner of Hair Studio in Carrollton, Ky. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and a longtime member and treasurer of the Carroll County Tobacco Festival Committee. She also collected antiques.
She is survived by her husband, Gregg D. Hughes; one son, Damon W. Lewis of Ghent, Ky.; two step daughters, Heather Hughes of Georgetown, Ky., and Megan Wilson of Morristown, Tenn.; two sisters, Juanita R. Baxter of Maysville, Ky., and Glenna Young Thacker of Covington, Ga.; one brother, Alec C. Young of Carrollton, Ky.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Paul W. Young.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton, Ky.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service.
