Pamela Jane Wagner Courter, 64, of Rising Sun, formerly Switzerland County, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Regency Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was born March 14, 1948, in Lawrenceburg, the daughter of Raymond "Dick and Pauline "Polly" Wilson Wagner. She was raised in Switzerland County and attended Patriot High School. She was a member of the Grants Creek Baptist Church in Rising Sun. She enjoyed being a homemaker, taking care of her family, quilting, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by two daughters, Christina Koons of Rising Sun and Tamara Baker of North Bend, Ohio; one son Donald Lee Courter of Aurora; three sisters, Sharon Smith of Indianapolis, Jenny Devers of Patriot and Ruby Murphy of Greendale; two brothers, Robert "Sonny" Wagner of Vevay and Wayne Wagner of Rising Sun; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Donald Courter, whom she married on July 1, 1966, and who died April 4, 2009; her one daughter, Crystal Renee Courter; her parents; three sisters, Patricia Courter, Wanda Waslmock and Irene Walcott; and an infant brother, Raymond Leon Wagner.
The funeral will at 1 p.m. Monday at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial will be in the Rising Sun New Cemetery (German Cemetery section).
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 11 a.m. until the service.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the family. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.

Gilbert Lacefield, 70, of Carrollton, Ky., died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, in Louisville, Ky.
Funeral arrangements and additional information are pending at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky.
Mexine M. Richards, 58, of North Vernon, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
She was born Jan. 22, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Edward and Lillian Buknis Melnikas. She enjoyed working and playing games on the computer.
She is survived by her husband, Dwight Gene Richards Jr., formerly of Madison, whom she married Aug. 13, 1999; four sons, Michael, Zachary, T.J. and Dwight Paul; one daughter, Rachel; two sisters, Lillian and Patty; two grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Sandy; and one brother, Butchie.
No services are scheduled.
