David L. Gleason, 61, of Vevay, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Swiss Villa Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Vevay.
He was born Jan. 30, 1952, in Kentucky. He was formerly of Louisville, Ky. and Leavenworth. He had been employed in the restaurant at The Galt House in Louisville, Ky.
There are no known survivors.
A graveside service and burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at Mathers Cemetery in English.
Friends may call at the Lytle Funeral Chapel today from 4 to 6 p.m.

Beverly Joyce Hamilton, 86, of Bedford, Ky., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at Signature Health Care in Bedford, Ky.
She was born Dec. 9, 1927, in Milan, Mo., to Nove and Francis Crowdis. She spent her youth in Missouri. After graduating high school, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she was employed at Dugway Proving Ground as a clerk. She traveled with her husband for many years across the country and to Germany for her husband's work with the U.S. Army and Air Force. The couple returned to Trimble County, Ky., where they purchased a farm near Bedford, Ky. She also was employed with the U.S. government, working as the first woman's position as a lock operator at the Markland Lock and Dam in Ghent, Ky. She enjoyed traveling, working on the farm and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Hamilton, whom she married in 1952; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Bobbi Garrett; and three brothers, Dewayne Crowdis, Bill Crowdis and James Crowdis.
No services are planned. Cremation was chosen.

Charles W. Marlin, 72, of Hanover, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. Funeral arrangements and additional information are pending at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.
