Help state parks plan for the future

We’re fortunate to have a state park in our own backyard. Clifty Falls State Park is a major item when we talk about the quality of life opportunities we enjoy in the Courierarea.
From hiking to swimming and nature classes to camping, the park offers many opportunities for residents and visitors.
During last year’s Indiana Bicentennial celebration, the parks offered programs to highlight their contributions to the state.
Now, the state is asking residents to participate in a survey to help guide the park system into the future. The survey, called the “Second Century Survey,” is available for anyone interested in the state park system.
The survey will take 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and responses will help the state create priorities for the future of the network of state parks.
The survey can be completed at www.stateparks.IN.gov/9410.htm.
Survey participants who provide contact information at the end of the survey will be included in a drawing for prizes, including annual passes for 2017 and 2018, camping gift cards and state park inn gift cards.
If you haven’t visited Clifty Falls State Park, you’re missing one of Southern Indiana’s crown jewels. This time of year, there is no entrance fee. Take a ride through the park and enjoy all it has to offer.
We believe that those who visit will be eager to return.
