To the editor:
A child's first day of kindergarten can be very nerve racking for parents. What to wear, what bus to ride, where to go after school, etc. This letter is to thank Ray Black Jr. and his staff at the Lide White Boys and Girls Club for helping our daughter on her first day of kindergarten. Our daughter was very nervous riding a bus to the club for the very first time. Ray and his staff were outside with arms open waiting for the kids. Our daughter loved her first day at the Club.
It's nice that Madison has a place for children of all genders to go to after school. This really allows kids to grow up and gain valuable life experiences in a true setting. Their programs are top-notch and I couldn't think of a better place for my daughter or any other youth in the community!
