Columnist has short memory

To the editor:
The column by Joe Gandelman on Feb. 7 "We live in a hate and minutia culture," was ridiculous.
Where were you, Mr. Gandelman, when Mitt Romney was running for president? Were your eyes closed? Did you not hear and read the absolutely wild claims about him?
And how about when Bush was in office? Why didn't you speak up then, about all the hate?
Yes, we do live in a hate culture and I believe it is being supported and kept alive by the Chicago machine. I am a native of that city and understand how they operate. "Take out your opponent in any way possible." That is how Barack Obama became a state senator, a U.S. senator and then president. He learned well from his Chicago pals.
