To the editor:
I love this city, but I'm not in love with our leaders. The results of the recent City Council meeting were incredibly disappointing on many fronts.
Disagreeing with a plan is one thing, but Mayor Damon Welch cannot continue to kick the can down the road.
Rather than waiting for the "Envision" group to come up with a plan, our Mayor must lead the way with a new plan of his own.
We elected Mayor Welch to lead, not to take a backseat.
While I applaud the effort he made last year, its failure shouldn't hold us back from continuing to work together in order to find new ways of making our home the best it can be.
If Madison is going to move forward, we must have bold leaders who are capable of taking decisive action. Our city deserves better.
