To the editor:

Watching students cross Clifty Drive after school makes me nervous. I don't understand why the kids haven't been taught to use the street light/crosswalk to cross the street safely.

They race to beat traffic which only lands them in the center lane waiting for the other lane to be clear.

After school is a very busy time for the restaurants on Clifty Drive, but there are not any safety measures for the students.

I think this is definitely a safety issue that needs to be addressed before there is an accident and everyone thinks, "yes, we have been meaning to address that problem."
