If you're looking for an enjoyable weekend filled with family entertainment we have three events to recommend.

The Neavill's Grove Old Settlers Meeting, the Carrollton Family Celebration, and the Rockin' on the River all offer a wide variety of events for the entire family.

This is the 128th year for the Neavill's Grove event. The grove is on Deputy Pike north of Madison.

Highlights include the annual fiddle contest, a display of antique tractors and lots of good music.

The Carrollton festival features arts and craft vendors, games for children, a flea market, music and fireworks.

Local musicians plan to perform throughout the afternoon Saturday before the concert with country music singers T.G. Sheppard and Kelly Lang at 8 p.m.

Rockin' on the River and the 17th annual River Run Car Show are set for Saturday at Bicentennial Park. The Louisville group, "The Monarchs" will play at 8 p.m.

The event is free, but donations will go to the Salvation Army for programs and social services.

The car show is expected to draw a few hundred entrants. Music begins at 6:30 p.m.

Check out page A5 of today's Courier for complete schedules of events.

It's expected to be warm this weekend, but the chance of rain is slight. Be sure to add these events to your Labor Day weekend plans.
