Shipman-Smith engagement announced

Veronica Leigh Shipman and Christopher Ray Smith
Veronica Leigh Shipman and Christopher Ray Smith, both of Jeffersonville, announce their engagement and August wedding.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Paula Shipman of Jeffersonville, formerly of Hanover, and the late Gaines "Jim" Shipman. She is a 2000 graduate of Southwestern High School. She earned a degree in food and beverage management and is studying towards a master's degree in business administration at Sullivan University in Louisville, Ky. She is employed as beverage manager with Match Cigar and Bourbon Lounge in Jeffersonville.
The groom-to-be is the son of Michael and Patti Smith of Jeffersonville. He is a 1992 graduate of Jeffersonville High School. He attended the University of Evansville and majored in theater and music. He is employed as a technician with Hawkeye Security in Jeffersonville. He also composes and performs with Burning Babylon, a Louisville, Ky.-based band.
The wedding is set for Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at Locust Grove in Louisville, Ky. Invitations will be sent.
