Canaan Community Academy hosted local veterans Friday for its annual program recognizing the nation’s service men and women. Students carried handmade American flags and sang patriotic songs during the program before hearing from speaker and veteran Joe Staehler. Following the hour-long program, guests were invited to the cafeteria for a little “food and fellowship,” as an extra showing of appreciation.
