    Finding information about ancestors tends to get trickier the further back in time a researcher tries to go. Census records from 1850 to 1940, the most recent year available to the public, are a gold mine of information – each offering various details about the lives of people who lived in certain places at certain times.

    Tweety was found catching birds in a yard. She would hang out around the local bird feeders, but now she is looking forward to a home where she doesn’t need to hunt for her dinner. Snooki is affectionate. She seeks out attention from people, but also enjoys exploring. She would enjoy a home with a view to watch the birds outside. The Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter currently has one puppy, and more than 22 cats or kittens available.
