    Madison Consolidated High School’s varsity winter guard took first place in their division while the junior varsity winter guard placed third in their class Saturday during the TriState Marching Arts event hosted in Madison.

    Since 2000, Kentucky Derby Museum’s Education Outreach Program has been on a mission to bring lessons in math, science, economics and history to students in each of Kentucky’s 120 counties, using the Kentucky Derby and the Thoroughbred racing industry as a fun hook.

    Marty is a sweet boy who was at the shelter before. He is patient and well mannered, knows how to sit and walks well on a leash. The Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter currently has more than 12 dogs and puppies, and 17 cats and kittens available.
