    The Prince of Peace Summer Festival was in full swing by 6 p.m. Friday. The annual fundraising event held on the lawn in front of Pope John XXIII Elementary School hosts a number of carnival rides, food and activities for children and adults.     Centra is a big friendly boy that needs a home soon. He likes to be scratched on the top of his head between his ears. He is a patient and accepting cat who will do well in a quiet home. His fur is khaki-brown and white with tabby markings. All adult cats that are not spayed or neutered are $25 off of their fees. All kittens up to 1-year-old are $35 off of their adoption and neuter fees. The Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter currently has more than 15 dogs and puppies, and 35 cats and kittens available.
