    A musically-gifted family will return to Madison this weekend for a free concert sponsored by a local arts organization. The Reen Family Singers will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church as part of the Madison Performing Arts Foundation’s current season.

    Trimble County High School has announced its candidates for homecoming king, queen, prince and princess. Winners will be announced between boys junior varsity and varsity basketball games. The varsity game is set to start at 7:30 p.m. Friday when the school hosts Henry County.

    Nico is looking for a new home that will give him a comfy spot. He is an independent brown tabby who is very unhappy at the shelter. Rex is a little guy who loves meeting new people. He has a fun, playful personality and gets along with everyone. He likes to cuddle up on the couch.     Megg Hensler and Chris Grote were crowned queen and king of Shawe Memorial High School’s homecoming Saturday night. Kate Grote and Leon Kinne were crowned princess and prince. Shawe lost 44-35 to Rising Sun in the homecoming game.
