    Gabby is an affectionate 2-year-old. She likes to give hugs by placing her paws on your shoulders and rubbing her face against your face. When she is really happy, she will drool. She also likes to play occasionally too. The Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter currently has more than 15 dogs and puppies, and 13 cats and kittens available.   • CELEBRATING SEUSS

    The Madison branch of the Jefferson County Public Library celebrated Dr. Seuss during one of the several "Staycation" events last week. Thursday's event at the library featured Dr. Seuss-themed activities, including several crafts, stories and games.
