The Big Oaks Conservation Society and Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge will host the ninth annual Outdoor Women at Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, June 8.

Outdoor Women at Big Oaks is a one-day program designed to offer women ages 14 and over the opportunity to gain in-the-field skills.

The award-winning program teaches outdoor skills to women through a variety of courses including fishing, archery, shooting sports, wilderness survival, outdoor photography, canoeing/kayaking, bird watching and much more. This event also fosters a greater appreciation for wildlife conservation and allows women to meet others who share their enthusiasm for the outdoors.

The deadline for early registration is May 10th. Fees are $50 for adults; and $35 for women aged 14-18 when accompanied by an adult. Some classes are limited in size, so early registration is recommended.

Registration from May 10-May 25 is $60. The registration fee includes a choice of three courses, a continental breakfast, lunch, use of equipment and supplies, and a day pass to Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge.
