Trimble County Hymn Sing: Will be held Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. The hymn sing is held the first Thursday of each month at a Trimble County Church.

Taize: A Taize worship service will be held Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at Madison Presbyterian Church. Everyone is welcome. Taize services will be held on the first Friday of the month at Madison Presbyterian Church, 202 Broadway and on the third Friday of each month at Hanover Presbyterian Church, 174 East Main Street, Hanover.
Germanfest Supper: Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1429 Clifty Drive, will host its 6th annual Germanfest supper Oct. 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu includes pulled pork, sausages, homemade kniffles or noodles, sauerkraut, pies and more. Carry out and dine-in are available. Tickets can be purchased by calling (812) 273-3525. The event will also include a jump-around for kids, yard games and cornhole.
West Street Ministries 13th Anniversary: West Street Ministries, 307 West St., will celebrate its 13th anniversary at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 6 with gospel music and a pitch-in meal to follow at noon.
Blessing of the Animals: Will be held Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 506 Mulberry St. Rev. Evelyn Wheeler will bless any pets. Local veterinarian Kevin Watkins will also answer questions and certified dog trainer Shiree James will be present to give instruction.
Community Bonfire and Concert: Hanover United Methodist Church will host a community bonfire and concert Oct. 6 with Kirby Stailey from 5 to 6 p.m. followed by a bonfire. The event will include free hot dogs, chips, drinks and s'mores. All are welcome. Those attending are asked to bring a lawn chair. For more information call (812) 866-3101.
The Commonwealth Quartet: Will perform at 7 p.m. Oct. 6 at North Madison Baptist Church, 1906 Orchard Street. Admission is $5 at the door. A free will offering will also be collected.
Scaffold Lick 195th Anniversary and Homecoming: Scaffold Lick Baptist Church will celebrate 195 years and host a homecoming Oct. 13 with Sunday school at 9:30 a.m., singing and worship at 10:30 a.m. and a pitch-in lunch following the service. Steve Hall will lead in song and worship with his brothers David and Jeff, and his nephew Bryce. Singer-songwriter Jody Staples-Fitzgibbon will also be present.
Jesus Clothes Closet: The Jesus Clothes Closet at Trinity United Methodist Church, 412 W. Main St., is open every Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. with free clothes for infants to adults. Use the church's Main Street entrance. Closed on holidays which fall on a Monday.
Open Hands Open Hearts Thrift Shop: Will be open Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m. at 254 E. LaGrange Road in Hanover, with clothing from infant to adult sizes, household items and seasonal goods.
Celebrate Recovery: A Christ-centered recovery program for hurts, habits and hang-ups based on the beatitudes will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at 1635 Oak Hill Drive. Sign up by calling (812) 493-4487.
