The Sunshine Homemakers met April 9 at the home of president Dorothy Morgan. Morgan led the club in the Extension Homemakers Club Creed, the Pledge of Allegiance and the song of the month, "Abide with Me." Morgan also gave devotions from Romans 24:6 and read, "The Easter Story of the Twelve Men Heard the Savior say, the Passover is Nigh." Marie Black gave the secretary's report and took roll call by asking, "What is your favorite picnic food?" The club was informed that Kay Dunbar was now president of the Extension Homemakers Jefferson County Council, due to the death of Lisa Kramer. Members discussed dues, which are to be paid and turned in at the May meeting. Leader Lesson Day will be held May 8 at the Jennings County Library on May 8, $10 is to be paid by the May 3 council meeting. Plans were considered for District Meeting and decision on a theme for district needs to be made. The club will meet again at 2 p.m. May 7 at Morgan's residence.
