The Saluda Homemakers held their first meeting of 2013 at Ponderosa Steak House. Lisa Kramer conducted the meeting. Martha Knigga gave a devotion from Bill Graham on Proverbs 13:13, encouraging members to read and study the Bible. Members answered the roll call with what they do on a cold winter day. Dorothy Canada read the secretary's report from the club's December meeting. Dianna Giltner distributed a review of the yearly treasurer's report. For February's club project, each member was asked to make 10 tray favors for the Hanover Nursing Home. Birthday, sickness and sympathy cards were sent to members who were absent. Knigga read the quote of the month and Giltner read the thought of the month. Kramer presented a lesson on falls happening at home. The club's next meeting was set for 11:30 a.m. Feb. 13 at Ponderosa Steak House.
