The Sunshine Homemakers met Jan. 8, 2013 at Hanover Baptist Church. Dorothy Morgan opened the meeting with the Extension Homemakers Club Creed and the Pledge of Allegiance. Member sang, "Let it Snow." Devotions were presented by Morgan from Malachi 3:13. Alma Spillman gave the secretary's report. Members answered the roll call with something they like to do on a cold day. Marie Black gave a report on some projects club members might like to participate in, including making lap robes or walker bags for the nursing homes and creating baby quilts for the WIC program. The quote of the month was from Thomas Jefferson, "I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it." The thought for the month was from Josh Billings, "Consider the postage stamp, my son. It secures success through its ability to stick to one thing till it gets there." The next meeting was set for 2 p.m. Feb. 12 at Hanover Baptist Church. The next quilt meeting was set for 9:30 a.m. Feb. 5 at the Hanover Baptist Church.
