The club also sang "America." Marie Black gave devotions from Psalms 91 and a reading from "Angels Everywhere." Members answered the roll call by talking about their childhood friends. The club discussed achievement day, which is scheduled for Sept. 13 at Kent United Methodist Church, and the fall district meeting which will be held Aug. 22 at Camp Pyoca. The quote of the month was from Dale Carnegie, "It isn't what you have or who you are, or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about." The thought for the month was from Frank Lloyd Wright, "A physician can bury his mistakes, an architect can only advise his clients to plant vines."
