The Sunshine Homemakers met Oct. 9 at Hanover Baptist Church. President Dorothy Morgan opened the meeting with the Extension Homemakers Club Creed and the Pledge of Allegiance. Alma Spillman gave devotions from Matthew 18:20 and read the story "Five Little Fingers." Spillman also gave the secretary's report. Members answered the roll call with why they like the homemakers. The quote of the month was, "A man is judged by his deeds, not by his words." The thought of the month was, "You can't change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying over the future." A lesson plan on autumn produce was distributed. The club's next meeting was set for 2 p.m. Nov. 15 at the church.
