The Sunshine Homemakers met Oct. 16 at Hanover Baptist Church. Club president Dorothy Morgan opened the meeting with the Extension Homemakers Club Creed and the Pledge of Allegiance. The club sang, "I've Got Spurs That Jingle, Jangle Jingle." Marie Black gave devotions from Psalm 23. Members answered the roll call with their first boyfriend or crush. Black also gave the secretary's report. Members discussed the annual quilt show, which was set for April 12-14, 2013 at the Jefferson County 4-H Fairgrounds. The quote of the month was from Paul Harvey, "In times like these, it is helpful to remember that there have always been times like these." The thought for the month was, "When the mouth stumbles, it is worse than the foot.
